Abuse is not only physical violence. It can include emotional, verbal, financial, sexual abuse, coercive , intimidation, threats, or patterns of power and control over a partner or family member.
We explore how substance use and mental health impact behaviour, but we are not a treatment program. Referrals to specialized services are made when needed.
Our program is set up to provide 8 sessions, along with a partnership with other agencies to connect you with a longer-term counsellor after you complete your Engaging Men sessions, if you wish (note long-term counselling with other agencies are not provided free of charge like Engaging Men)

No, our program is able to support any man in or out of a relationship who wants to work to make their current or future relationships healthier and safe
Our services are available to anyone who is 18 years of age or older

Once your referral form is received, the intake worker will contact you within 72 hours. After completing the intake process we aim to get you connected with a counsellor with 1-2 weeks.
Our counsellors will meet in whatever format works best for you. As a community-based program, our counsellors are mobile and we prefer to meet with you in-person, either in your home or in the community. Virtual support is also available.
We are able to provide our services in English as well as a multitude of other languages with the assistance of interpreters that we will provide
If you are currently in court and the courts request a progress or attendance report, your counsellor can provide a letter. Theses letters focus on engagement and participation—not taking sides in legal matters.
